Pistol Review: Ruger's MAX-9 - Impressive Bang For Buck
In a world where concealable micro-compact pistols have become increasingly high in demand, Ruger has released their new handgun, the Max-9, to compete with the other big names out there like Sig Sauer's P365 and Springfield's Hellcat.
Expanding from their both reliable and affordable LC series, Ruger has developed a slim, lightweight and compact pistol that still provides an impressive capacity of up to 12+1.

Coming in at 18.4 ounces and .95 inches wide, the Max-9 features an incredibly slim frame with some ergonomic touches to it making it ideal for quick-draw self defense. Not only that, but a 3.2-inch barrel and overall length of 6 inches makes the Max-9 highly concealable.
Immediately when handling the Max-9 you notice the beavertail sits high allowing the shooter to quickly get a firm grip on the gun. On both sides you'll feel there are slight thumb rests that taper from 0.955" to 0.893". Moreover, you have several panels of mildly aggressive stippling that give you that perfect grip even when your hands are sweating.
When it comes to durability and reliability the Max-9 features, "rugged construction thanks to a through-hardened alloy steel slide, a one-piece, precision-machined fire control chassis, and high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame." - RUGER
