Review: Zeiss Conquest V4
The Conquest V4 is an ALL-NEW rifle scope introduced to us at the 2018 SHOT Show. The Conquest V4 lines comes in four models fit for any hunting expedition. Their models consist of 1-4x24, 3-12x56, 4-16x44, and 6-24x50. The new line combines the legendary Zeiss quality with functionality and robustness at affordable price levels from 800 to 1200 USD.
The Conquest V4 family is based on a 4x zoom which incorporates a 30 mm main tube. Each model delivers 90% plus to the-eye light transmission, offers .25 MOA click valuest, and a large range of total elevation and windage travel adjustment. The black, matte anodized aluminum housing protects the mechanics inside of the rifle scope. The lenses are also coated with LotuTec and the housing is nitrogen filled which protects the lenses from fogging and rain.
The 1-4x24 is the optimal solution for the driven hunt, it can even be used as a red dot sight without magnification. The 3-12x56 is an all round amazing riflescope is designed for stalking and stand hunting. The V4 4-16x44 is designed for mid-range while the 6-24x50 is more for long-range shooting.
There are several reticle options are also available including a traditional plex-style reticles, as well as Zeiss’ newest ZMOA and ZBR MOA-based smart reticles. The ZQAR reticle, available with the 1-4x24 model, represents an intelligent reticle design. Illuminated reticles are standard for the 1-4x24 model and optional for the 3-12x56 and 6-24x50 models.
